1990 Mercedes 190E Evo II replica, 2.6 6cyl Automatic 4G-Tronic. Finished in stunning Almandine Red Metallic with original cloth interior. The base car is a Swedish sold 190E covering just 80,940KM since it was first registered. Chassis number 2010291F733938. It remained with the first owner for 30 years before the car was sold at the beginning of 2020 and then acquired by the current owner later that year. In fantastic condition both cosmetically and mechanically, including a full original interior in fantastic condition (and testament to Mercedes build quality from this era), it has made a great base for this rather interesting conversion project.

For those in the know the 190E Evo II is a car that needs little introduction. Developed as part of Mercedes successful Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters program, it is regarded by some as the ultimate homologation special (quite an accolade given some of the other cars that jostle for this title). A beast of a machine, its wild appearance was made up of motorsport style aerodisc wheels, extended arches and bumpers, a tarmac scrapping splitter and a gargantuan wing sitting atop hard, square 90’s lines - still a sight to behold even in the presence of modern counterparts. With only 502 built and pristine examples now fetching up to $220,000 at auction it is now a car out of reach of many who dreamed of owning one, and a well crafted replica presents the next best option.

This particular replica has been finished to a good standard, with few mechanical modifications making it the perfect platform to upgrade over time or keep as is to preserve that famous pre-millenial Mercedes reliability. The suspension has been swapped out for H&R springs and dampers to achieve the correct ride height, spacers have been added to ensure those epic aerodiscs align with those widened arches and a chrome exhaust tip has been added to finish off the rear. As mentioned the full original interior remains and can easily switched out for full schwarz leather to achieve the appearance of the genuine car.
