Factory Five MKIII Cobra SOLD
2010 Supercharged Factory Five MKIII Roadster AC Cobra replica, finished in Sikkens Bentley tungsten. Inspection exempt, one owner and the odometer shows just 1369KM. Chassis number EL1NAMAJA.
The owner ordered the car direct from Factory Five in 2006, with almost all optional extras. The build is meticulous as is the file that comes with the car. This includes all the original invoices and order forms, communications with the Factory Five team and shipping companies, and then receipts for every single nut and bolt on the build. It makes for an interesting read and goes to show just how much care and attention to detail the owner has dedicated to this beautiful build. Also included is the Factory Five build manual, a spare key and a UBS key with additional maps for the ECU.
When you fire this thing up and that 5.0 V8 burble reverberates through the stainless steel side exits it is quite a noise and one of the most impressive sounding Cobra’s we have had in recently. We can only imagine what the added soundtrack of the Kenne Bell 2.1L twin screw supercharger must sound like over the top of this when opened up. The engine is Ford 5.0 HO, inspected when installed, and fitted with Felpro steel ring head gaskets and ARP head bolts, stock roller cam and forged pistons. Heads are mildly ported. There is a proform electric waterpump, BBK 70mm Throttle body, PRO-M 75mm Maf, 36lb Injectors, Quarter Horse engine management and an Innovate wideband lambda. Ceramic coated headers top it off and it also benefits from a complete Painless Performance wiring electrical system.
Gearchanges are handled by a dependable Borg-Warner T5 transmission and power is transferred through a Ford 8,8 Rear end, Ford Racing ring and pinion 3,55 limited slip differential with a Ford racing Differential Cover. At all 4 corners sit Bilstein coilovers and Mustang Cobra 17" wheels, 10,5" rear with 315/35-17 and 9" front with 255/45-17. The car is steered via a Flaming River rack and pinion and braking comes courtesy of Ford racing m-2300-k Cobra brake kit front and rear. 330mm disks front and 296mm rear, modulated via a Willwood master cylinder.
The Factory Five frame is powder coated and all of the aluminium panels are anodized. Inside occupants sit snuggly in the traditional low back, black leather seats and have the option of securing themselves in place with a standard seatbelt or Simpson 4-point harnesses (additional straps included to convert to 5 point if desired).
Last but certainly not least is the paint. The car was originally painted black 2010 and left that way until 2019 when sprayed the final colour of Sikkens Bentley tungsten. It is a spotless and mirror-like finish, finishing this impeccable build off in style.
