1971 Chevelle Malibu rebuilt as an SS tribute with a 454 block. Finished in stunning Shadow Grey over black interior. The odometer shows 88,878km but exact distance travelled is unknown due to age. Having recently undergone a frame off restoration the car has driven very few kilometers since. Chassis number is 136671B219818 and the cars has had just 3 owners since being imported from the USA in 2009.

As can be seen in the photograph folder the car underwent an extensive, frame-off restoration and is in fantastic shape as it stands. The original small block has been replaced with a mighty MKV 454, a later year model which was believe to be the strongest block produced by GM. The motor was assembled by the team at Antes Motor Racing in Norrtälje, who also undertook porting and polishing, and it has run only 7-8000km since the rebuild. It is further enhanced by the addition of a Holley Sniper EFI kit, making this handsome brute a surprising easy car to drive and live with. The engine has been dyno’d by a previous owner and we are in the process of obtaining readouts. The car has a reinforced 700 transmission fitted with overdrive and 2000rpm converter, renovated by Danielsson’s Automatic Boxes in Ekerö. The transmission has additional cooling courtesy of a Setrab oil cooler, and like the engine it has also travelled just 7-8000km since being rebuilt.

The rear axle is a GM 12 bolt with relieved drive axles, which is a little unique. It has been fully renovated by Jonas at Bakaxelspelisten with all wearing parts replaced, new bearings and plates for the differential installed – again this has travelled just 7-8000 km since renovation.

This is a turn-key car ready to be enjoyed immediately by the new owner, as it has been by the current one. It was driven to our showroom and has been driven several times since for inspections and photoshoots, the EFI making it feel like a car you can really just grab the keys and jump in whenever you feel the urge to drive it.
