Over 400 photos and videos of this car can be found at the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ynt9798ekvxlanh/AABYbV4PNhz_33Siar8G2txMa?dl=0

1972 Corvette 350 V8 with automatic gearbox. Finished in Steel City Grey, a two year only colour, with contrasting red interior. Believed to be only 4 owners from new and travelled a verified 114,541 miles. Chassis number 1Z37K2S522471. Very original numbers matching car.

It is a rare but wonderful opportunity to sell a US car with such a well documented history, as unfortunately it is sometimes difficult to trace previous owners and paperwork, often leaving large unknowns in a vehicles past. Pleasingly this beautiful Corvette is accompanied by a folder full of notes, paperwork and old ownership titles. Most excitingly the first piece that greets you on opening this folder is the orignal order sheet from Corvette, carefully wrapped in a protective plastic sleeve like a valuable historic document, preventing it from further decay. The order was received 1972/05/18 and though it is hard to make out the text we can see that the then owner spec’d air conditioning, white lettered tyres, push button radio, tyre pressure sticker and vinyl interior.

Owners

1972-1995 / 106500 miles / 1st owner
1995-2010 / 109600 miles / Mr B Rector, Indianapolis
2010-2017 / 113079 miles / Mr M White, Kentucky
2021 - Current owner, Stockholm

Little is known about the previous two owners but under Mr White’s ownership we can see the car became a real hobby and extensive amount of work was undertaken and thankfully well documented, amounting to a 6 page list of parts and a total cost of $ 21644.79. Accompanying this list is a stack of receipts, orders and correspondence with parts suppliers and corvette specialists.

From his research and work he has done on the car it now stands as follows:

• 350CI, TURBO 400 transmission, power steering, AC, 3.55 POSI
• Rare two year only steel city gray paint with red interior and last year for chrome bumpers (front & rear). Last year for removable rear window
• Numbers matching 350 rebuilt to approximate 1970, 350/350 HP specs and appearance & Dart 2.02, 84cc aluminum heads, 180cc Intake runner
• Edelbrock Performer Intake & Holley 650 Spreadbore
• Comp Cams hyd... 212 deg / 447 IN - 218 deg / 454 OUT
• Bored +030", balanced, 10:1 compression ratio
• Ignition - stock, recurved
• Exhaust...SBX 88 headers thru 2 ½" pipes and flowmasters
• Numbers matching turbo 400 transmission
• Raybestos "red" clutch packs
• "Slightly" modified valve body & pump

This beautiful Corvette is ready to be enjoyed by the next owner, a true joy to both look at and get behind the wheel of. It makes for a comfortable cruiser with its surprisingly ergonomic driving position and tractable manner, and would be very at home touring summer car show, sunny coastlines or making longer weekend trips.
