Cadillac Eldorado Convertible 8.2 V8
1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible 8.2 V8, finished in Chesterfield Brown with cream leather interior. The odometer shows 71,830 miles and the car appears to have had just one owner in Sweden. Chassis number 6L67S6Q208694.
This beautiful old ‘land yacht’ arrived in Sweden back in 2002, living with its new female owner in Lerum for the next 17 years before passing through the hands of a couple of dealers before arriving with us. It was driven by the current owner to showroom and appears to start and run without issue, that big old 8.2 V8 firing into life without worry.
There are the expected small dings here and there, a few cracks in the paintwork and evidence of filler in places but overall the bodywork appears reasonable condition for for it’s near 50 year age, as does the underside (photos can be found here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ylvjqzdqua67rgo/AAD3kHE4GVVwhMvVBIicSue_a?dl=0).
Inside the leather appears to be recently refurbished, looking bright and fresh. The electric roof also works, requiring a little encouragement to get back up as they often do on these cars. AC does not appear to be working.
The ninth generation of the Eldorado was produced between 1971-1978 and was a substantial redesign of it’s predecessor. The 500ci V8 remained but the car grew two inches in lenth, the wheelbase stretched 6 inches and frameless door glass remained, and inside a new curved instrument panel sat before the driver and passenger. The 1975 update saw the Eldorado gain rectangular headlamps, a refreshed egg-crate grille, full rear wheel openings without the fender skirts found on earlier cars and altogether sharper, crisper form reminiscent of the sleeker 1967–70 models.
